The Church: the Bride of Christ and the Temple of the Holy Spirit
The femininity of the Holy Spirit was implied by Apostle Paul when he referred to the Church, the bride of Christ, as the temple of the Holy Spirit. Thus, the marriage of Christ and of his Church is really the marriage of Christ (the Lesser Yang) and of the Holy Spirit (the Lesser Yin) that dwells inside the Church.
Revelation 21:9 And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying , Come hither , I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife.
Ephesians 5:23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. 25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; ... 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
1 Corinthians 6:19 Don't you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and who was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourselves but to God;
What happens when the Lesser Yang and the Lesser Yin unite in marriage? A new Heaven (spiritual universe) and a new Earth (physical universe) will be created.
Revelation 21:1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth. The first heaven and the first earth disappeared, and the sea vanished. 3 I heard a loud voice speaking from the throne: "Now God's home is with people! He will live with them, and they shall be his people. God himself will be with them, and he will be their God. 4 He will wipe away all tears from their eyes. There will be no more death, no more grief or crying or pain. The old things have disappeared." 5 Then the one who sits on the throne said, "And now I make all things new!" He also said to me, "Write this, because these words are true and can be trusted." 6 And he said, "It is done! I am the first and the last, the beginning and the end.
Currently, the Lesser Yin and the Lesser Yang inhabit the infinite Yin Yang. However, when the new Heaven and the new Earth is created, the infinite Yin Yang, or God the Father, together will all of His creation, will inhabit the new Heaven and the New Earth.
The Big Bang according to the Bible
In my previous blog titled "The Yin Yang - part 1", I mentioned my belief that the primordial Earth started out as dark matter which became the singularity that ignited the Big Bang. Since dark matter is not visible, nobody really knows its form and composition. However, the Bible gave us an "inside look" at what dark matter is made of:
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. 2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
When the Bible described the primordial "Earth" as without form and void, and surrounded with darkness, it is telling us that Earth started out as dark matter. Furthermore, it tells us that dark matter comes in the form of liquid or "waters" (Hebrew mayim - which can used for any fluid including urine) , and that the Spirit of God moves upon its surface. Thus, dark matter is the secret hiding place of the Holy Spirit whenever it does not manifest itself.
Recent discovery in science actually tells us that the first form of matter which appeared in the universe was a perfect liquid.
Science textbooks tell us that all matter are made up of protons, electrons, and neutrons. While electrons were found out to be elementary particles (i.e., they are not made up of even smaller particles); protons and neutrons where discovered to be made up of smaller constituent parts called quarks.
When protons and neutrons are subjected to very high temperature and pressure, there comes a limit when the protons and neutrons break down, or "melts", into its constituent parts, which are the quarks. This new form of matter made up entirely of free quarks, is known as the quark soup, or quark-gluon plasma. This is the same substance that filled the universe a few microseconds after it came into existence 13.7 billion years ago.
In April 2005, formation of quark matter was tentatively confirmed by results obtained at Brookhaven National Laboratory's Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC). The consensus of the four RHIC research groups was that they had created a quark-gluon liquid of very low viscosity.

Predictions made prior to RHIC’s initial operations in 2000 expected that the quark-gluon plasma would exist as a gas. But surprising and definitive data from RHIC’s first three years of operation, presented by RHIC scientists in April 2005, showed that the matter produced at RHIC behaves as a liquid, whose constituent particles interact very strongly among themselves. This liquid matter has been described as nearly “perfect” in the sense that it flows with almost no frictional resistance, or viscosity.
Thus, both the Bible and Science agree that the first form of matter which existed in the universe came in the form of a perfect liquid!
Let there be Light
In my previous blog titled "The Yin Yang - part 1", I mentioned my belief that the reason why the primordial Earth existed as dark matter was because its temperature was below Absolute Zero.
Absolute Zero is the theoretical temperature at which entropy would reach its minimum value. The laws of thermodynamics state that whenever absolute zero is reached, it would require a thermodynamic system to be fully removed from the rest of the universe.
Thus, in order for dark matter to appear as regular matter in the universe, its temperature should first be increased to above Absolute Zero.
The Bible tells us that God's first act of creation was to let Light appear in the universe:
Genesis 1:3 And God said , Let there be light: and there was light. 4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
It was the enormous heat from this Light that caused the temperature of Earth's dark matter to rise above Absolute Zero and to ignite, thus starting the Big Bang.
But how is light produced? Light is produced whenever electrons move from higher energy orbitals to lower energy orbitals. The higher energy orbital from which the electrons descended was the Spiritual Universe or the infinite Yang which is the realm of negatively charged matter. The lower energy orbital to which the electrons descended was the Physical Universe or the infinite Yin which is the realm of positively charged matter.
Some Bible commentators actually believe that the Light which God created on the first day of creation was Light coming from the Sun and that one "day" at the time of creation is equivalent to 24 hours. This interpretation simply cannot be correct since we are told that God created the stars and other luminaries like the Sun, the Moon, and the planets on the fourth day of creation and not on the first day:
Genesis 1:14 And God said , Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, 18 And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. 19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
The Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation
If it is true that the Light which God created on the first day of creation was the result of electrons coming down from the Spiritual Universe, or Heaven, then this Light should be observed to have the following characteristics:
- Since the heat from this Light was the one which heated up the dark matter in the Physical Universe into regular matter and sparked the Big Bang, this Light should have existed before any regular matter appeared in our Universe.
- Since this Light was produced by electrons coming down from Heaven towards our Physical Universe, it should envelop or fill the entire Physical Universe.
Interestingly, cosmologists talk about a Light similar to what the Bible described in the Book of Genesis. They call this Light the Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation, or CMBR.
In cosmology, the cosmic microwave background (CMB) radiation (also CMBR, CBR, MBR, and relic radiation) is a form of electromagnetic radiation, or light, filling the entire universe. With a traditional optical telescope, the space between stars and galaxies (the background) is pitch black. But with a radio telescope, there is a faint background glow, almost exactly the same in all directions, that is not associated with any star, galaxy, or other luminous object. This glow is strongest in the microwave region of the radio spectrum, hence the name cosmic microwave background radiation.
The CMBR is well explained as radiation left over from an early stage in the creation of the universe, and its discovery is considered a landmark confirmation of the Big Bang model of the universe. It is believed to be created about 380,000 years after the Big Bang when the temperature of the universe fell to the point where nuclei could combine with electrons to create neutral atoms. As a result, photons no longer interacted frequently with matter, the universe became transparent and the photons were scattered throughout the entire universe. In contrast, the first star was believed to have formed some 100 million years after the Big Bang.
Thus, just like the Bible, cosmologists are also talking about a primordial Light which filled the entire universe before any star or luminous object appeared.
In part 3 of this blog, I will talk more about the Big Bang according to the Biblical narrative, including the six "days" of creation.
